Grayson Bankshares, Inc. (the Company) was incorporated as a Virginia corporation on February 3, 1992 to acquire the stock of The Grayson National Bank (the Bank) and serve as a one bank holding company. The Bank was acquired by the Company on July 1 1992.

The Grayson National Bank was organized under the laws of the United States in 1900, and as an FDIC insured National Banking Association, is subject to regulation by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. The Company was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (the SEC) on May 1, 2000, and is subject to regulation by both the Federal Reserve and the SEC.
